The Artist Statement
Audrey Anderson has a unique style which is influenced by graphic art, comic books and graffiti. She explores the blurred line between graphics and fine arts. In subject matter, Anderson's main concern is in conveying the everyday, perhaps mundane moments of life. Through these images, Anderson creates visual and interpersonal narratives around everyday activities, encouraging the people to take a look at their own lives from this point of view and how it may reflect on their own ways of living. By complicating and emphasising otherwise unnoticed moments, Anderson explores ideas of how our ways of living create and define culture and identity."
